Whether you’re new to working with a recruitment agency, or have worked with recruitment partners over the years, there are a few tips and tricks to ensure you make the most out of your relationship with us.
The best way to start any relationship with your recruitment agency is with an open discussion about your hiring goals, so we can use our expertise to help guide you and work out the best role for your business.
You may have a clear idea of what and who you want to recruit for, but your recruiter should also be able to guide you on what sort of benefits package you need to offer for that position, what skills you should be looking for, offer salary benchmarking and discuss how this role is evolving in the marketplace.
It sounds obvious, but you would be surprised how many hiring managers don’t allocate time in their day to review CVs, plan ahead for interviews and provide feedback on candidates.
This is essential to ensure that both, we can help you find the right person, and you can find someone quickly to fill that vacant position in your business.
Quick and engaged responses keep your recruitment partner engaged and actively looking for someone to fill that position.
The honest truth is, if we aren’t successful in finding a candidate, neither of us can succeed in business! So it’s in our best interest to help you find the best person for your team, not just fill a hole or skills gap.
Like any strong relationship, you need to get to know each other to build a lasting partnership.
We only place candidates who we have met with multiple times and understand what they’re looking for from their careers. By getting to know you and your team well, we can expertly match the two together.
We operate on an honesty policy! We want to know if we aren’t hitting the mark, so we can improve and optimise our process to make it even easier for you. We’ll be guided by our expert knowledge, and your insight into your business to find the person that suits your needs.
We also want to know if the situation changes. Maybe you need to delay hiring for an unexpected reason, or the skills you need have evolved as you’ve considered candidates. Feedback is essential to helping us, and you, find that potential hire.
Any recruiter worth their salt will not only be able to help you hire, but we can also help you prepare for the interview process, advise on salaries across the region and provide updates for market expectations with benefits packages.
When you’ve made an offer, we keep communications open with both you and the candidate. We want to ensure they’re meeting your expectations, and likewise the candidate is happy in the role so that everyone can succeed.
We also continue to horizon scan, so that once we know your business on an expert level, if we find someone we think would be a perfect fit, we’ll let you know.
